RPG is proud to release an exclusive collaboration with JE Pistons — a line of dedicated forged pistons engineered specifically for PTWA (Plasma Transferred Wire Arc) cylinder wall technology used in Gen 3 and newer 5.0L Coyote and 5.2L GT350 / GT500 engines.

Unlike standard 2618 forged pistons that can cause premature wear or clearance issues in PTWA blocks, these RPG × JE pistons are designed from a clean-sheet proprietary alloy forging, paired with advanced friction-reduction coatings and premium ring packs. The result is the most advanced piston solution available for modern Coyote and Predator engines.

Why These Pistons Matter

Most off-the-shelf forged pistons are not compatible with PTWA cylinder technology due to differences in expansion rate, surface interaction, and ring-seal dynamics. ⚠️ Important Installation Note

Before installation, verify your engine bore size and inspect for cylinder taper. Some Ford Performance Gen 3 5.0L and 5.2L blocks have exhibited excessive cylinder taper, which can cause premature wear or failure. Always measure and hone as necessary prior to piston installation.
